Greater Boca Real Estate Planning Council’s Kicks-Off
The Year With An Emphasis On Educational Outreach

Over 100 long-term, new and prospective members mixed and mingled at the Greater Boca Raton Estate Planning Councils’ (GBREPC) annual New Member Kick-Off Event sponsored by Wells Fargo Private Bank at their facility on Town Center Road in Boca Raton. Guests enjoyed good conversation and were treated to cocktails and an array of passed hors d’oeurves. Attendees also had an opportunity to learn more about the GBREPC’s Speakers’ Bureau, which is available gratis to any organization seeking to gain an education and understanding of areas of concern they might have about estate planning.
“We’re looking forward to the start of a wonderful year and are grateful to Well Fargo for sponsoring us and appreciate all the hard work that goes into making this a successful event,” said GBREPC president Lanny Marks, CPA, CFP, AEP. “One of our goals this year is to increase public awareness of the Speakers’ Bureau. Our members are comprised of professionals from all disciplines in estate planning, each one proficient and well-versed in their topic and willing to share their time and knowledge to help others.”
Marks, who recently assumed the gavel as the GBREPC president, is a Certified Public Accountant, a Certified Financial Planner and is an Accredited Estate Planner. As provider of comprehensive financial tax, estate, insurance and investment planning solutions for nearly thirty years, he holds licenses in Life/Health/Disability/Annuity and Variable Life and Annuity and is a Senior Financial Consultant with Newbridge Securities Corp.
“We really enjoy hosting this kick-off event for the Council’s current and prospective members. This year I’m looking forward to renewing acquaintances and forging new relationships,” said Sharon DaBrusco, a Senior Vice-President and Wealth Advisor at Wells Fargo Private Bank in Boca Raton. “It is important for our group to keep working together in order for us to achieve success for our clients.”
Founded in 1984, the Greater Boca Raton Estate Planning Council (GBREPC) has a membership of more than 160 professionals. A chapter of the National Association of Estate Planners & Councils, the GBREPC strives to provide the public with a better understanding and appreciation of the services that estate and financial planners offer to their clients. The organization is comprised of professionals from the accounting, legal, trust, insurance, financial planning and planned giving arenas.
