BOCA RATON, FL (July 11, 2014) – A stylish seaside celebration at the elegant Delray Beach Club marked the close of the 2013-2014 Greater Boca Raton Estate Planning Council (GBREPC) programmatic season. With a spectacular view of the Atlantic Ocean serving as a picture-perfect backdrop for the gala, close to 100 GBREPC members and guests enjoyed the culinary specialties of the club’s Executive Chef Jason Miranda. The band “Atlantis” provided a perfect mix of music that got everyone movin’ and groovin’ on the dance floor.
Officially completing his one-year term as the GBREPC’s president, attorney Alan B. Rosenthal took a moment during the reception to reflect upon his year in office. “It has been a pleasure taking on this leadership role,” says Rosenthal, an attorney specializing in multi-generational wealth preservation with the firm of Redgrave & Rosenthal LLP. “Attracting new members by offering consistently outstanding programs, nationally recognized speakers, and excellent networking opportunities, the GBREPC continues to be the area’s preeminent chapter – the chapter everyone wants to join.”
A long time GBREPC member and director, Paul Roman will assume the role of GBREPC’s new president for 2014-2015. Roman practices trust and estate law with the firm of Hankins Northwood Roman Wenzel P.L. “I am happy to inherit a chapter with a healthy membership that is on the upswing. My goal is to continue to bring sought-after speakers to our monthly dinner meetings,” says Roman. “I want our meetings to address topics that are cutting edge and of interest to lawyers, accountants, trust officers, financial planners and planned giving specialists. It is the mission of our national organization to improve the quality of estate planning in order to benefit the public. Our chapter is certainly fulfilling this mission. In addition, the GBREPC continues to engage in community outreach initiatives and continues to align itself with like-minded charitable organizations.”
Art Samuels, owner of Estate Buyers.com, and a retired U.S. Navy commander, was the gala’s Diamond Sponsor. As owner of a diamond and gem wholesale company, Samuels brings a new and different perspective to the GBREPC constituency. “A large focus of my work is on estate liquidation,” says Samuels. “Although I am not an attorney or planned giving specialist, I find that the GBREPC provides me with the business contacts and resources that I need. I value the people I have met as a result of the GBREPC and with deep appreciation, sponsor this last event of the season with pride.”
For information about membership, please visit our webpage at www.bocaratonepc.org. Founded in 1984, the GBREPC has a growing membership of more than 160 professionals from the fields of accounting, legal, trust, insurance, financial planning and planned giving. A chapter of the National Association of Estate Planners & Councils, the GBREPC provides networking opportunities for local professionals who value collaboration and career growth. Monthly meetings, in season, keep members and their guests current on estate planning trends and changes in tax laws. In addition, the organization strives to provide the public with a better understanding and appreciation of the services that estate and financial planners offer to their clients.
